Webcam Chat Blog

The heartbeat and centerpiece of the whole webcam chat has always been the chat room. The whole thing is addicting but I’ll always know the most addictive part is the chat. It’s the IRC chat. The webcams only fuel the fire that is caused by the interaction in the chat room. Over the years I’ve seen many people fall asleep or spend days in the chat room. This was even before the webcams were added.

Today I think the main attraction at our webcam chat site is still the main chat room where everything starts. It’s from there the users switch to audio and the fun continues from there.

This was on my list of notes to post so I wanted to get this out there. Enjoy the chat.

As I was looking at the stats page for our webcam chat site I was reminded of where we sat a year ago. I can remember being so excited that we were finally getting 2000 hits a day to the front page. This was huge and I never imagined that camchat.org could be so strong.

Today we receive 6000 hits a day to the front page. I can not believe how much we have grown. CamChat.org is a success. I’d like to thank everyone involved with our success from the mods, to the server owners, to the regulars and as always my lovely wife Julie for the web development.

We have finally blocked the final hole in the private message problem. Users should now be able to enjoy the chat without being bothered with unwanted p2ps. Thanks to Julie for another great improvement to our system.
